Mit Titeln wie \u201eDer Mann im Mond\u201c, \u201eDa sprach der alte H\u00e4uptling der Indianer\u201c, \u201eBohnen in den Ohren\u201c und \u201eSauerkraut-Polka\u201c wurde er im Deutschland der 60er-Jahre vom Hobbymusiker zum Schla-gerstar. Als Schauspieler wirkte er au\u00dferdem in zahlreichen Filmen mit, darunter Klassiker wie \u201eIch kauf mir lieber einen Tirolerhut\u201c oder \u201e\u00dcbermut im Salzkammer-gut\u201c. 2019 verstarb er nach schwerer Krankheit in seiner Wahlheimat Germering bei M\u00fcnchen.
